Browse around awhile and you’ll find lots of helpful training tips and information along with some news, product reviews and yes, even a few dog tales! I would love to hear your thoughts, so leave a comment, suggestion or start a conversation. This site is devoted to the community of dog lovers, dog owners and most of all, our four-legged family members who give us their unconditional love.
Yes, that’s the same signal that I use!
I love how pets help keep us on track and focused on the important things 🙂
That looks so familiar. If there is something furry on my laptop or under my arm, then i know that i have stayed long in the computer!
There’s nothing like the subtle gesture of a head, paw or whole body laying across your keyboard to let you know it’s time for a break, haha!
I get the same look from SlimDoggy Jack – he comes and stands next to my desk.
You can’t resist that look!
Sometimes I think I forget!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Yes, I think maybe we all work too hard sometimes. Let’s organize a “Pet Blogger’s Beach Vacation!”
I have three dogs and four cats — each of whom remind me when it’s time to get up and take a break. Great photo!
–Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats.
Wow, I think I would never get anything done with your gang. You’re an amazing pet blogger!
Kilo does this to me every couple hours. I find it so funny how he’ll just climb up on me, sneak his butt on my lap or bring a toy over and drop it right on the keyboard. But I love it, breaks are fun for both of us. 🙂
It’s funny how they have a way of weaseling in (no offense to you weasel bloggers out there) when they want some attention. I love it too!
Yep, that’s the same reminder I get from my 2 pups!!
It’s their job to help bring balance to our lives.
So cute!! I know that face very well. I see the same one (only much smaller and ruby coloured) peaking around my monitor when she thinks I’ve ignored her long enough
Yes, first it’s the face peeking around the monitor, then comes the slow and careful encroachment tactic. 🙂
Love the photo! Mine, particularly Moleque, come and sit just to the side of my desk and give me the “I want to go for a walk now” stare…
Thanks, I do know that stare too! I enjoyed checking out your blog today and meeting Moleque.
Yeah I couldn’t resist that cute little face looking at me over the laptop either! My Chi starts pawing at my leg. My bigger dogs put their head in my lap when they want me to take a break and pay attention to them.
It sounds like you have a lot of competition for attention and lots of love to share. Thanks for stopping by, Cathy!
Hehehe…I pretty much have a kitty who does the same thing 😉
You’re right, cats have their ways of getting some love too. 🙂
Dogs must all think alike because I get that same look from my two dogs when I’ve been at the computer too long or when they are ready for dinner. Nice to find your blog.
Hi Sharon, It was nice to find your blog today too and read all about Sophie. You are a hero, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us.
I like to bring a toy, then another toy, then another toy. If that doesn’t work, it’s time to start shoving my big doggie head between the desk and chair. Sometimes I’ll even make a little pitiful whine for added effect. When all else fails, just jump in their lap!!
Oh my gosh, Haley has done that too on a few occasions, just jump right up there when all else fails, haha!
When Honey wants me to take a break, she lets out a woof to ask me to take her outside. But in truth, I get up every hour to walk around, do jumping jacks, play tug or whatever. I’m definitely too old to sit still for hours at a time. 🙂
For some reason, I’m trying to picture you doing jumping jacks on the sailboat. Yeah, that could still work, lol!
mine kept doing that to me today so I caved and took them for a walk. they were good and tired this afternoon.
Isn’t that a great feeling when they’re napping after a long walk? Like sleeping babies. 🙂
We are putting our head on mom’s lap. Then she can’t resist us LOL.
I enjoyed checking out your blog today, you and Vaks are adorable. Vaks looks a lot like Haley.
OMD yes! I have to pull the “head-on-the-laptop” move ALL the time! Mama AND Papa! When do they stop? XD *wags* – Gilligan from WagsAhoy.com
The head-on-the-laptop move gets a little tricky if snacks are around. Apple might need to invent the iDrool Catcher, lol.
That’s an adorable reminder to take a break! Since I work at a desktop (have to be ergo!) I get the guilt-inducing stare from the floor below! Thanks for stopping by PoochSmooches!
Hi Jackie, I get that too when I work at my desktop. Thanks for checking out the blog!
I think I need a dog. =^..^=
That’s the image of a cat looking over a computer screen, they all need some love.
My dog Ellie rests her head on my keyboard every night after it gets just a tad too late to be on the computer.
Happy hopping!
That’s sweet, she doesn’t want to go to bed without you.
Yes, same here…we tell Mom when to take breaks with those sweet puppy dog eyes!!
Harley and Charlie do have those sweet, beautiful eyes.
We have specific times we dedicate to the dogs. They know when it’s coming.
They do get to know the schedule don’t they? It amazes me how Haley knows almost exactly when it’s time for her meals. Glad you stopped by! 🙂
Great photo! I usually sit at my desk and our pup Luke will come to my side and put his paws up on me….time for a break Mom!
Thanks Jan, it’s nice to be gently reminded to take a break from the computer.
Mr. N is also good at reminding me that he is a poor, unloved dog who never gets walks or anything fun.
Haha! Yes, they can make you feel that way sometimes.
I hear the dogs shaking their collars & getting in the living room. Eventually, my little one Phoebe will come over to me & put her paws on my lap. That’s when I know – it’s time!
It’s kind of like waking up to flapping ears and shaking collars. Who needs an alarm clock, right? 🙂
Like many others have said it’s when I get a nudge from Laika – a nice little reminder that I’ve got some important play/training to do 🙂 I really wish there were more hours in the day, I absolutely love writing but I’m still trying to catch up on reading other people’s blogs from the past few weeks.
I agree! I could use more hours in the day too. 🙂
I have two little reminders who sit by desk all day and start nudging me when they decide it’s time to take a break.
Yes, they keep us honest and definitely let us know when we need to take a break!
